Ashlyn was at McDonald's with her grandparents after VBS. When Nana brought Ashlyn home, she told me that Ashlyn had done a very nice thing at McDonald's.

M - What did you do Ashlyn?
A - A lady dropped her money and she didn't know and I got it for her.
M - Ashlyn! That is so kind. You didn't have to do that, but you chose to think of someone else. I am so proud of you!
A - Thanks Mommy!
M - Do you know what? That is exactly like Jesus. He is kind and shows love to others! You were being like Him! If He had been at McDonalds, He would have bent down and gotten the money for her too.
A - Well Mommy...
M - Yes, Ashlyn?
A - If He had been there and seen her drop the money, I would have beaten Him to the floor.

I am returning to work next week for a brief 19 day Kindergarden Readiness porgram. I am currently Addelyn Kate's only means of nutrition, and therefore I have been having to prepare for my upcoming absence. Ashlyn came to me very concerned that Addelyn Kate wouldn't be able to eat while I am away.

A - Mommy, when you go next week, how will Addelyn Kate eat?
M - Amber will be here to feed her, baby.
A - But Mommy, only you can feed her!
M - Ashlyn, don't worry, I promise Amber will take care of her.
A - Mommy?
M - Yes, Ashlyn?
A - Does Amber make milk?

I had sent Ashlyn to wake Matt up the other morning. When I walk in the room, this is what I hear...

A - Maaatttt...it's time to get up. You need to get up now. Come on Matt!
M - Ashlyn, you don't call him Matt. Only Mommy calls him that. What are you supposed to call him?
A - Oh right. I just call him "honey." :)

Matt and I were riding in the car with Ashlyn and something was said about Ashlyn's Aunt Kitty being on her honeymoon.
